Hi there and welcome :) My name is Ishtar, the face behind Phoenix Florals.

I have always felt deeply connected to and inspired by Mother Earth. Growing up in the Perth Hills surrounded by bushland with the ever changing seasons of the wild flowers and all native animals. I feel we are so lucky to have such beautiful and unique plant varieties right here in our pocket of the world.

I’ve been painting nature scenes professionally for 11 years now. I discovered my love for floristry a few years ago, by accident. I was at low point and feeling lost and then randomly landed a job at a flower wholesaler. I quickly moved from the warehouse role to creating the bouquets and I been obsessed with the craft ever since. While painting will always be my first love flowers are now my creative priority.

Sustainability and caring for our Earth is a priority for me so I use locally grown flowers first before imported. Use reusable mechanics instead of floral foam and plastic free wrapping for my bouquets.

I’m currently creating out of a cute home studio in nestled in the forest near Lesmurdie. I have a 2 year old Kelpie named Phoenix (the legend behind the name) and two horses Khan and Arabel. I love anything out doors camping, fishing, diving and my fav dish is Thai Green Curry.
